whatwedoRunning Secret Santa ate up a lot of my time -- more so than I remember it eating up last year, for that matter, and I'm not sure if that's simply perception or because there was more people this go around. I enjoyed it, though, even if I felt like I limped across the finish line. I think I'll be sure to prep my own gifts well in advance next year so that I'm better equipped to handle things on the day-to-day. I would definitely call this year a pretty awesome success, though, especially considering the move to DW and the nature of the season itself. Lots of beautiful, thoughtful gifts. Moving on to the future!
Please read this carefully: I am moving across the country in January. I will no longer be on Mountain Time; I will be on Eastern Time. More importantly, I will not be available after a to-be-determined date for what's looking to be at least a week and a half. Right now, we're thinking of flying on January 23rd, because tickets are inexplicably cheap on that day, but it could either be a few days before or after this. To play it on the safe side, I want all my reqs done and linked to the main community by January 16th. I will not be starting anything new after that date. It's unfair to the other person and it's unfair to me. With the 16th as my cut-off date, it'll hopefully give me a week to move things to a wrap where possible.
(When I have a firm date, I will give y'all a date. It's extremely frustrating to me that our plans have been constantly shifting, because this is kind of a huge thing, and I would like a firm date. Suffice it to say, at this point, I don't imagine I'm gonna be around 'til February once I disappear. I tried figuring out when we're getting internet/cable/phone at the new house and got such a noncommittal answer that I'm anticipating it's not a huge priority for anyone but me.)
daretodoPosts: I will be putting up one of those private EPs that's technically public in his journal shortly, wherein he'll be dressed as Steampunk Spider-Man (which actually isn't recognizable as any sort of Spider-Man costume, as there is no logo, but) on a bridge, because I am not allowing myself to let that opportunity go. Scott, I will also be putting up that Christmastime post for him and Jessica. Anita and Scott, Peter will be moving out of the mansion probably on January 1st; this might be something worth threading.

Thread Requests: What is going on with the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Month?
NDPD: Pending approval, a totaled S.H.I.E.L.D. car (aka, a glorified pile of scraps).
Items: I'd like to give him part of his workspace at Horizon Labs. Maybe the vault where he keeps all his Spider-Man-related research (and cool suits). It'd be a bittersweet item -- look at all this awesome stuff you accomplished at home while you were stuck here, loser! -- but also a really fucking useful one, and I've put him through enough emotional trauma this past year that he definitely deserves some kind of reprieve. Looking to time this for February or March.
Home Plots: I'd like to do one and I'd like it to be very small-scale. To the point where I'd almost like to just make it a very long, action-packed one-shot just to give him a break from Island life. I'd like to send him to other versions of the Marvel universe, though; that'd be fun. No specific timing.
Time Loops: Nope. Canon already beat me to it and time looped every major event in his life.
howmanylivesPosts: I need to set up a post for Layla dated for her Islandversary. He might end up doing another fake proposal, which will be spontaneous for him, but planned on my end. (He asks her twice in canon, and has only done so once so far in-game.) So we'll see how that goes.

Home Plots: I'd love to do one that's inspired by the most recent arc of X-Factor, but that's not a pressing concern at the moment.
Time Loops: There are a few events that obviously come to mind -- not picking up the baby, not saving the mutate, not letting Layla jump into the time portal -- but I don't know how to structure them.
Other Plots: Okay, there is one plot I'm ridiculously excited about. Like... Crazy excited about. I don't often get this excited about my own ideas, but I finally figured out a way to do something I've wanted to for years; life's just been so bug nut crazy that I haven't had time to contact everyone, which I need to do before I submit it for Mod approval, because it occurred to me that aspects of it will have to change if some folks don't want to involved. But basically, if you play a good friend of Jamie Madrox, expect an email within the next week. It'll be small-scale, but awesome if everything goes according to plan.
onlyapassengerPosts: Thanks to the extension on Victorian Plot, I'll probably end up just EPing him working on his steampunk arm.
Thread Requests: My reqs should be covered with that post, but the usual suspects and whoever else wants to tag in. (Though I'd really like Batman and maybe Tony in terms of not-usual suspects? There's issues there that should be addressed, even if they won't be resolved for some time to come.)
NDPD: No idea. Do I go with a cool weapon to make up for the months of shit I just put him through, an ongoing project like a nice motocross bike to fix up, or something more practical?
Items: Nothing immediately on the horizon, though it occurs to me right this second that Amnesia plot might be a good time to give him one of his old Winter Soldier triggers back. This would require a shitload of coordination, though, as... Well, I'd like him to not die by the end of it?
Home Plots: A prison break plot might be fun, but not 'til later.
Time Loops: Bucky's definitely the character who best lends himself to plots of this nature; I think whatever the next one ends up being -- and I don't have any specific ideas -- it'll need to be just him and Steve, and Steve'll need a win.

manwithoutfearPosts: Still needs a girlfriend! That probably shouldn't be in this section, but it is. He's one of the few I'm considering throwing into NYE, but he's already covered for reqs, so... IDK. I think it could be beneficial for him? He's someone I do legitimately have to consider ships for, but all the people he's kinda interested in are all kinda interested in other people? I think? IDK. But that's just not how Matt rolls. He flirts with everyone, but sex is exclusive. It's been a really, really long time since this man's gotten laid. Poor guy.

Home Plots: I would really, really, really love to do a Home Plot with Matt. He comes from the Kingpin and Ninja era of Daredevil, man; they could get jumped by fucking Yakuza or the motherfucking Hand. Like, that could be the start of the plot, just them getting jumped by fucking Yakuza or the motherfucking Hand, and everything sort of spiraling out of there, and him having to explain, like, "Oh, btw, I've been passively lying to you all for months, I'm a superhero. Also I'm really, really awesome. Also I'm Kingpin." This would preferably be with a couple of non-Marvel folks for maximum WTF IS GOING ON. I also literally just came up with this off the top of my head as I was writing this, so that's why this is the first you'll have seen me mention this. It could be timed for around March, maybe?
Time Loops: Matt lives in the present, not the past. The item I have in mind would take the place of my own time loop idea, the death of Karen Page.
Other Plots: I really wanted a status quo changer for the end of the year, but I think the time for that has passed unless he suddenly gets laid.
Miscellaneous: I changed his username. I'm not too certain how I feel about it now, even though it's... Perfect. I think it might be one change too many in such a short amount of time, I don't know. I don't do that great with change; I'm sure I'll get used to it.
havenoplansPosts: Thursblot is on the 9th; it's Thor's feast day. I'd genuinely like to do something to mark this, but I also know that people are probably gathering posted out by this point, and honestly, he doesn't have that many friends. (Which I need to fix.) So maybe that would be better suited to a private post with Jane, maybe. He could be kind of sad and thoughtful and missing Asgard, which would last all of a handful of tags before he cheered up again, because that is how Thor rolls. Also: can all his threads at the Marvel party please reach req length? They can be continued on DW, I don't care, I just want him to be covered.

He'll be Psych Office certified in February, though, and I already know I'm giving him Jamie as a patient. Well, except for where he's surrounded by his students and Sookie went from hook-up to science project in five seconds flat. The man keeps shooting himself in the foot. Which... The timing just was not going to work with apping Jennifer this month, though I love her dearly. Also, I'm not happy with the application I have written now; it's not my best work. I can do better. I'm also considering bumping up her exit point to something earlier; I find the writing was stronger in the nineties, more grounded.
Which, uh, if you know anything about the Dork Age of comics, is hilarious. Probably February at the earliest. Might get bumped to March, we'll see.
I have a couple other potentials. Two teenage girls, one... person I need to contact a lot of people about because they'll be A Big Deal, but won't be on my radar until at least P3, because Person will need a lot of forethought and brainstorming before I can bring them in. Person will likely be my last app until someone gets dropped, but if I have to have a last app, I would want it to be Person.
Given those clues, Person is probably easy to guess, but I can guarantee that I'll at least submit an application, because I started one for Person the second I finished reading Person's latest series a couple months ago before realizing that's an app that really needs sitting on.
So, roughly, Jennifer Walters is P1/P2 and Person is no earlier than P3/P4. Teenage Girl would be somewhere in between, depending on things. I want them all like burning, it's just a matter of spacing it out.
