Instinctively, Mary Jane threw her hands up, an obviously defensive motion. Were she to stop and think about it, she would know that this wasn't about her, but it was hard to do that when already she was fighting hard not to start panicking. Norman Osborn had tried to kill her, had wanted her dead, and now he was here, and who knew what would stop him from trying again.
"So... what?" she asked, obviously tense, though she was making a concerted effort not to snap right back at him. "What now? What do we do?"
