While Mary Jane had, in fact, been hoping that she wouldn't have to try to climb down in her wedding dress, she hadn't been expecting him to do what he did, either. He was up in the tree before she could even open her mouth to respond, and then, everything happened far too quickly for her to realize just what was going on. The next thing she knew, gravity was working as he had planned for it to; instinctively, she let out a noise that wasn't quite a scream as she fell, but didn't try to fight it. Still, she couldn't help wishing Peter was there. She didn't even want to begin thinking about the fact that, for all she knew, she might not ever even see him again. For now, she just had to focus on this, whatever was actually going on.
