Wow, I totally did not answer a single response to last month's SotP. Sorry about that, folks, I will try to be better about that this time 'round. Hopefully. This month's been really hit-or-miss. I'll manage to clear my inbox every day for a few days only to then not tag for close to a week. I hate to be so unreliable, though at least I managed to make reqs this month, which is an improvement over last, if nothing else. I'm just waiting on more thread of Emma's to reach three tags, then I'm done with a few days to spare. Not too bad, given everything.
Of interest is that I am potentially working on a game-wide plot with Leshia. It's a pretty awesome idea, but we'll need to sit down and work out the beats first before we submit anything.

Three years! Hot damn. In unrelated news, I managed to work up an absolutely ridiculous plot reminiscent of something from the comics for him with the help of Di, which pleased me to no end, but I would've admittedly liked to thread him off more of his pals this month. The game's been slow in general, though, at least from my vantage point, so I'm guessing it's a case of poor timing on my part. Still, I'd thought it was a fun set-up. If nothing else, though, this did shine a light on the problem I've always had with Pete: he tends to gravitate towards the familiar, meaning I've had very little success getting him to connect with folks from other canons (and those he has connected with have since disappeared). Hell, it's a problem right from the comics to some extent; they always introduce an entirely new supporting cast every few years only to bring back the tried-and-trues after a couple months. Regardless, I think I'm going to try to make an effort at throwing him at new arrivals over the next few months, see if anything sticks. Thread requests: his friends, please? I'll set up any starts, if it comes to that, but I'd like to touch base with his pals in May. |

Him and Layla need to set a wedding date and I need to submit this damn noir plot. That... Is basically all I have to say on Jamie's front. Wait, no, I lied. I'd like to actually do something with his acting classes this year, maybe have them put on a show at the end of the semester. He could be a less douchey Mr. Shue, but with acting instead of singing. I have no idea. I just like his dynamic with teenagers because he has absolutely no idea how to interact with them, and it'd be fun for him to really own that teacher role this year. On that note: is there anyone with an incredibly specialized skill set who'd be willing to take on a student? He misses learning new skills. |

Much as I hate those rare times I get Peter bleed, the rarer times I get Bucky bleed is apparently about ten times worse. It completely sucked my will to write for anyone for weeks. Yikes. I got over that hurdle eventually, but it's still a bit draining to write him at present, and I suspect that'll bleed over to next month. I don't have any specific plans for him, beyond probably throwing him into amnesia plot when that rolls around in July -- I might do a combo amnesia-Winter Soldier trigger, which will mean figuring out a shitload of details before then so he doesn't end up in jail indefinitely -- but a time loop or a home plot set to June or something might be beneficial just so that, when he eventually snaps, he only kills things that don't exist. I just... don't have anything specific in mind. Mostly because it'll be hard to live up to the one I did for him last February, which remains one of my favourite things I've ever done in-game. I'll think on it. |

Had his first brush with Fear Plot this month. I don't have an endgame for that nailed down quite yet, which is unusual for me, but I kind of want to go with the flow for the first few months before I really settle down to decide story beats. Has finally told Ellen some information about himself. Should probably tell her more, but he's slippery like that. Kevin Flynn was a delightful surprise, and I would like to thread those two so much more, because that is EXACTLY the kind of relationship Matt's been lacking here. FOR REAL. I also kind of want him to meet Arya. |

Will probably get a completely non-spoilery EP on May 4th or 5th, because I doubt I'm going to be able manage anyone else after I see The Avengers. I think I'll finally be able to move forward with him once I see it, because I've had such a fear of getting jossed in terms of how he interacts with the rest of the Marvels that I've held back considerably. THAT WILL CHANGE SOON. Ah, so excited. He's got his NDPD gift to figure out, so it'll probably be him playing with that. |

Needs to meet more folks. Needs to do more science. Will obviously be involved in a lot of Erik's plot next month , but I should maybe see about building a plot around him in the future. My focus always tends to shift back to Pete for such things, but I really do love playing Charles, and I got a kick out of writing his particular brand of sass in the thread with Erik and Rogue this month, even if I also felt a little off my game. |

I really love Damian, I do, but he's probably in most danger of getting dropped. I'm going to try to keep him through July, at least, because amnesia plot is too good of an opportunity to pass up, but he hasn't connected with anyone outside his canonmates, which is getting increasingly problematic. He's really going to need an adult figure he can respect in the upcoming months -- or at least learn to respect. I don't really know who'd fit the bill, though, given Damian's... Proclivities. Wolverine? (Lulz.) Also, he should meet more of the teen set. Thread requests: Stephanie in particular, because it's been a while since they've threaded and she'll be most equipped to deal with him once Bruce disappears. |

Given how easy her application fell into place, I was sort of expecting to connect with Emma faster in terms of gameplay. As it is, she's... A lot more difficult than I'd necessarily like. Obviously I'm going to give her some time to settle in before making any decisions, but I do worry she's reading very flat. Fortunately, there's plenty of plot she can tag long with next month. |
Future: So, this month a Hawkeye ongoing was announced, co-featuring none other than my girl Kate Bishop, and you best believe she is back in my queue. I'm going to wait for a couple issues to come out before I app her, but just the concept of that series neatly solves the reason I held out on reapping her last year, namely that she hasn't changed much as a character since the last time I played her. This series suggests a pretty drastic change! So I should be set to go. I am ridiculously excited at the thought.

Wolverine and Damian would be... interesting. He certainly does have the whole 'yup, murder impulses, got those,' thing down, and it might be an interesting window into his failures vis a vis Daken.

Yeah, pretty much the folks that popped into my mind were Wolverine and Cable, clearly the World's Best Father Figures. Though... Wolvie might have a slight edge on Cable, mostly because I don't think he'd ever trust Cable.

In your defense, it's not like it's a recent series. XD The best part is that he HATES that sort of thing as a training tool. He completely shuts down Doctor Strange down when he tries to do that with him, it's awesome.
